For people who have to put up with that shit, I totally understand them not seeing it in the same way. I have the privilege of not being subjected to sexism on a daily basis, so I believe strongly in second chances. I think ER was in a pretty shitty place and acted abhorrently, but he seems to have changed his ways and I respect that. Nowadays he doesn't do that from what I've been able to see, whether it be on Facebook or in comment sections. And of course, he helped the Union win the Civil War (if you ask me, he was the sole reason the Union won. ![]() Parker, who also served in the war with Grant) Tried his best to help the Native Americans with his Native American policy. That made me unsubscribe from him, and I didn't follow him for like a year and a half. He had a Native American on his staff (Ely S. Not to mention the nature walks and flute playing.īut then we had the dark era where he was notoriously rude and sexist. Later, when Ephemeral Rift started revamping the channel, he deleted most of his first videos. Initially, he uploaded videos of random things such as moving clouds or him playing the flute. The ASMR video creator joined YouTube in 2011. But series like the Candy man, This is NOT asmr, Tinfoil society etc all showed a willingness to break off and do his own thing. Ephemeral Rift is best known for his YouTube channel of the same name where he posts ASMR videos. And I'm not going to pretend like ER has never done videos similar to other creators. Cranial Nerve Exams around 2011-2013 being my go to example, but with girlfriend roleplays quickly rising to the same prominence since 2015 or so. There has always been a certain degree of stagnation in videos, with creators copying one another to replicate what is popular. I think ER is one of the pioneers of ASMR who truly pushed this community to new heights. Much for the reasons outlined in /u/fivefeetoffury's comment. I was subbed to him for a long long time, unsubscribed and then resubscribed again. Make longer videos, have higher youtube algorithm ratings, use good tags, keywords, and reinforcing those keywords, be seen more. TL dr Those newer with longer (10-15+ min) videos have the advantage. It's hard to up the average when numbers are already high but averages and ratios are low or not quality based on what youtube now finds as quality viewership. ![]() That means for each unique video, there will be a unique number of subscribers and non-subscribers interested in seeing it, which will vary depending on the niche. Something like with ASMR, not everything that is a trigger for me will trigger even possibly the majority of other people. If it's a diy or instruction video, it will need to be seen maybe more than once, but not by all the subs. If one channel is all comedy and viewers want to see every video, that's one thing. ![]() They may go hand in hand but sometimes don't. Now, for subs, subs aren't necessarily correlated to views. The higher up in the searches due to keywords, and the more popular the keywords, the more likely the person is to be seen and get more views and subs. Placement in certain searches is dependent on keywords used in the title and the description, that before the "show more" button under the bulk of the top of the description under a video. Aside from that, Youtube analytics is very friendly to newcomers on the scene, moreso than those that have been involved for much longer, because their calculations take all videos and history into effect, while with a new person, there's typically no history, so as long as the videos are a certain length and the views:subscriptions and both of those to :time spent, there's some sort of algorithm that youtube works out to determine where placement is in the search. I also hope you find the sights and sound of my painting of Uranus to be very relaxing, sleep inducing, and ASMR triggering.Sometimes males won't listen to males ASMR. I hope I did Uranus justice, and that you find this painting to be a beautiful representation of Uranus. Painting my own artistic interpretation of what Uranus looks like, since I've never actually seen Uranus with my own eyes.
